Rooster is in his last 24hrs of auction. My wife and I lowered the reserve down to $11,001 for the last day since we found a replacement car in the area. This is $1 over where the car is hovering. Next bid overcomes the reserve, and has the opportunity to pick it up for well under my asking price! Auction ends tomorrow around lunch. Good luck!

Why not just lower it to 11,000. If you'll sell it for 11,001 why not sell it to the high bidder for 1 dollar less? Seems really weird

Once someone has placed a bid on ebay, you can only lower a reserve to $1 above the highest bid. Makes sure that the current highest bidder is still interested I guess.. I thought it was strange too

Well my car needs changed. I used to daily a ten-speed and pulled this out on weekends and evenings with my wife. But now I need a daily driver. Something that's fun but can potentially carry a kid in the next few years/co-workers/counceling patients etc. So we are looking at a deal on a Golf. I wish we could wait for 2015 but can't. We were looking for Fiesta ST's but we like the more mature feeling of the VW for the 95% of the time I won't be hooning.
